Gopher Sports Marketing

From August 2022 to January 2024, I lived and breathed University of Minnesota sports. As a Gopher Sports Marketing Intern, I was provided with countless opportunities to learn and grow as a marketer, a problem solver and a leader.

My role: Sports Marketing Intern

  • Planned and implemented over 100 promotional and game day activities for sporting events with the goal to assist with increasing fan experience, ticket sales, revenue generation and student attendance

  • Helped lead a team of 30 fellow interns at sporting events to complete time sensitive promotional activities

  • Wrote formats for fellow interns, video board operators, music operators, and the band/spirit squad

  • Assisted in fulfilling sponsorship elements such as logo exposure, PA announcements, and promotional activities

  • Increased internship exposure and interest by over 26% with 10 new interns to help expand promotional capabilities
